About Product

  • SYNDAX POWER is a pre-emergence herbicide for the control of a broad spectrum of weeds in rice cultivation, including direct-sown rice, rice nursery, and transplanted rice.
  • It effectively controls major grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds of rice.

Mode of Entry

  • Systemic

Mode of Action

  • It works by combining two active ingredients, Bensulfuron-methyl and Pretilachlor, which target different biochemical pathways in weeds. Bensulfuron-methyl inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), disrupting the synthesis of essential amino acids and leading to the death of susceptible weeds. Meanwhile, Pretilachlor inhibits the biosynthesis of very-long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs), causing cell membrane damage and ultimately cell death.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Syndax Power Herbicide effectively controls a wide range of weeds, including grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds.
  • It can be applied both before and after the weeds emerge, providing flexibility in weed management.
  • As a systemic herbicide, it is absorbed and translocated throughout the weed, ensuring long-lasting control.
  • It becomes rainfast within 1-2 hours of application, maintaining its effectiveness even if it rains shortly after application.
  • When used according to the product label, it is safe for rice crops.
